We have over twenty years of experience in U.S. real estate and in advising foreign investors.  We know both the U.S. and the German systems and can explain the differences to you and to your business partners.

German investors frequently underestimate the differences between an investment in German and in U.S. real estate.  The lower level of government involvement in the real estate market means that an investor in U.S. real estate must engage in a higher level of due diligence than in Germany before completing a purchase.  Careful contract drafting and thorough inspections, therefore, are critical to a succesful real estate investment.

Investment in U.S. assets requires planning as to how to hold property and how to transfer that property in the event of death.  Our strong tax and real estate background allows us to give you the big picture when weighing your alternatives.  We also assist clients who need to have US assets transferred from a decedent's estate, either through probate or through a collection by heirs.
